Data for journalists and researchers
Our trackers read official feeds several times a day. These are the daily series behind them, free to use. Please credit PreparedBritain and link to the tracker page; the underlying figures stay under their publishers’ own terms.
Licence. Our compiled tables are released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0): reuse them freely, crediting PreparedBritain with a link. The underlying figures stay under their publishers’ terms: the Open Government Licence v3.0 for Environment Agency and CMA data, the Met Office’s own terms of use for its warnings (a credit and a link back to metoffice.gov.uk), public domain for NOAA’s, and each network operator’s own open-data terms for the power-cut feeds.
One row per day, recorded only when the source itself published something new, so a quiet feed leaves a gap rather than a repeated figure. A few early points were carried forward from the day before; each CSV marks them. Last point recorded 7 November at 00:00.
Diesel, UK average pump price
Latest: 198.4 pence per litre (7 November 2026). On 20 July 2026: 170.3 pence per litre. 111 daily points.
