Where this data comes from
Every signal is read from official, first-party sources on a schedule: the Met Office, Environment Agency, DEFRA, UKHSA, National Grid ESO, the electricity network operators, the water companies, Copernicus EFFIS and NASA FIRMS. No scraping of news sites, no estimates dressed as data.
PreparedBritain is independent and not affiliated with HM Government. Trend lines build daily as each signal's history accumulates. Each signal shows its own last-confirmed time; one that has not refreshed on schedule is marked as delayed rather than shown as current.
