Questions
Can we just buy copies from the shop?+
For a few named households, yes: each shop purchase covers one household. To share a file with tenants, staff or members, you need an organisation licence. It usually works out cheaper than buying copies, and we can add your details to the front.
How is it priced?+
By how many people it reaches and what you need. We quote after a short conversation, so you only pay for what you use.
Where does the information come from?+
The guides are written for the UK and sourced to the official services, such as GOV.UK, the NHS and the power networks. Our live data comes from the same public bodies and is credited on every page.
Are you connected to the government?+
No. PreparedBritain is an independent UK publisher, not affiliated with HM Government. We take no paid placements and brands can't buy a place in our reviews.
Is it advice?+
No. The guides are general information to help people get organised. They are not legal, financial, tax or medical advice, and they say so.
Is the data free?+
The daily series on our data page are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a credit and a link, and that won't change. The underlying official figures stay under their publishers' own terms. A licence covers delivery, breakdowns and support beyond that.
