AEG ChillFlex Pro AXP26U338CW review
AEG ChillFlex Pro AXP26U338CW Portable Air Conditioner
By Tom Calder
The manufacturer has replaced this model with a newer version, so we no longer recommend buying it new — remaining listings are old stock or secondhand. The newer model, AEG Comfort 6000 AXP26U339CW 9000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, has taken its place in our Portable air conditioners guide.
Key specs
The maker's figures.
- Box rating
- 9,000 BTU
- Rated cooling
- 2.6 kW
- Room size (maker)
- 18 m²
- Type
- Single-hose portable (cooling only)
- Label noise
- 64 dB(A)

- No
A well-made, quiet and genuinely energy-efficient portable AC that does a steady job in a smaller room. It is cooling-only and priced at the premium end, and the maker's up-to-30m² claim is optimistic, so treat it as a room-sized rather than whole-floor solution.
- Best for
- Quietly cooling a small-to-medium bedroom or home office through a heatwave, if you want a premium build and don't need heating.
- Skip it if
- You want year-round use

Researched, not used. We haven't used this product. This review is built from the maker's specifications, owner reports and our own sizing.
What we like
- Quiet for its class and efficient: A-rated, R290 refrigerant, EER 3.0 on its label
- Solid AEG build with genuinely useful extras — 24-hour timer, remote, plus dehumidifier and fan modes
- Delivers effective, consistent cooling in small-to-medium rooms
Worth knowing
- Heavy at about 31.5kg and fitted with a single, short 1.5m exhaust hose, which limits placement
- Cooling-only and premium-priced; the headline room-size figure overstates real-world reach (nearer 18-20m²)

Who shouldn't buy this
Don't buy if you want year-round use — this model has no heating mode — or if you need to cool a large open-plan space, where its real reach falls short of the marketed figure. For milder days a tower fan or evaporative cooler will do the job for far less.
This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the UK price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.
