Hilka Pro-Craft Ice Scraper 90mm review
By Tom Calder
We no longer recommend this model, so it no longer appears in our buying guides. In its place, we now recommend BEEWAY Ice Scraper – Wide 13cm TPU Blade in our Winter driving kit guide.
Key specs
The maker's figures.
- What it is
- Handheld ice scraper
- Fits / size
- 90mm blade width, 210mm overall length
- When you'd use it
- Clearing ice and frost off the windscreen
- Boot storage
- Small and flat
A straightforward, no-frills scraper that does the basic job for very little. It won't out-perform a wider or metal-edged scraper on a big windscreen, but it's cheap enough to keep two or three around so you're never caught without one.
- Best for
- A cheap spare to keep in every car for frosty mornings, alongside a proper de-icer
- Skip it if
- You've got a van or large 4x4 windscreen and want to clear it in one go

Researched, not used. We haven't used this product. This review is built from the maker's specifications, owner reports and our own sizing.
What we like
- Very low cost — easy to keep spares in every car, coat pocket or bag
- Soft-grip EVA handle stays comfortable to hold in cold weather
- Built-in rubber edge clears water as well as ice
Worth knowing
- 90mm blade is narrow, so a large windscreen takes more passes
- ABS plastic blade edge will wear faster over years of heavy use than a metal one

Who shouldn't buy this
You've got a van or large 4x4 windscreen and want to clear it in one go — a wider scraper or a snow brush/scraper combo will be quicker.
This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the UK price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.

Best for UK drivers taking a car to the Alps or mountain Europe in winter who want a quick-fitting, comfortable metal chain rather than a fiddly manual one.
