A dependable, no-drama portable unit that actively cools a small room the way a fan cannot, and doubles as a dehumidifier. It is a single-hose design, so it is noisy and best matched to a room of about 18-20 m2 rather than an open-plan space.

Worth knowing
- Single-hose portable design is noisy (around 65 dB) and less efficient than a fixed split system, and needs the exhaust hose vented through a window
- Realistic coverage is closer to 18 m2 than the quoted 20 m2, and it struggles in large or very sunny rooms

Who shouldn't buy this
Skip it if you only face a few hot days a year and mainly want to keep air moving, or need something quiet enough to sleep beside every night. A tower fan is far cheaper and quieter, and an evaporative cooler suits dry, well-ventilated spaces. Buy the AC only if you specifically need real temperature drop in one enclosed room.
