A dependable, no-drama portable unit that actively cools a small room the way a fan cannot, and doubles as a dehumidifier. It is a single-hose design, so it is noisy and best matched to a room of about 18-20 m2 rather than an open-plan space.

Who shouldn't buy this
Skip it if you only face a few hot days a year and mainly want to keep air moving, or need something quiet enough to sleep beside every night. A tower fan is far cheaper and quieter, and an evaporative cooler suits dry, well-ventilated spaces. Buy the AC only if you specifically need real temperature drop in one enclosed room.
