Meaco is a trusted UK climate-control brand and its MeacoCool portables cool a mid-sized room quickly and reliably, doubling as a dehumidifier. Like every single-hose unit it is noisy and power-hungry, so it earns its place only if you genuinely need cooling rather than just moving air about.
Approximate typical UK street price as of Jul 2026, taken from Meaco's own store and mainstream retailers (Argos, John Lewis, B&Q). The popular MC Series 9000 BTU lists at ~£430 RRP; the entry 7000 BTU sits nearer £300 and Wi-Fi Pro models run higher, so ~£400 is a fair mid-range figure. The late-June 2026 heatwave has tightened stock and nudged prices toward the top of the range.
