Key specs
The maker's figures.
- Type
- Electronic hotel/laptop safe — no fire rating
- Certification
- None — no fire or burglary certification, no certified cash rating
- Lock
- Motorised electronic lock, key override, 2× 20mm bolts
- Capacity
- 35 L
Phoenix designed this as a hotel safe, and that shows in the one genuinely useful dimension: 520mm of internal width takes a 17-inch laptop lying flat, which almost nothing else at this price does. What it does not have is certification of any kind — no fire rating, no burglary grade, and a '£1,000 cash' figure Phoenix itself only describes as what the safe is 'recommended for'. At 13kg with a 4mm door and a 1.5mm body, the supplied fixing kit is the security here, not the steel.
- Best for
- Keeping a laptop, tablet and paperwork out of casual reach in a home office or holiday let, once it is bolted down.
- Skip it if
- The contents need to survive a fire

Researched, not used. We haven't used this product. This review is built from the maker's specifications, owner reports and our own sizing.
What we like
- 520mm of internal width swallows a 17-inch laptop flat — rare at any home-safe price
- Motorised high-security electronic lock with two user PINs, a master code and backup override keys
- Back and base come pre-prepared with a DIY fixing kit for brick walls or concrete floors
Worth knowing
- No certification whatsoever — no fire rating, no burglary grade, and the £1,000 figure is a Phoenix recommendation, not a rating
- 13kg with a 1.5mm steel body: left unbolted, one person picks it up and carries it out
- Not fire-rated at all, so passports and deeds belong in a fire safe instead

Who shouldn't buy this
Skip it if the contents need to survive a fire — a Yale YFM fire safe or the Chubbsafes Executive 40K is the right box for documents.
This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the UK price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.
