Priced and built as exactly what it is: a lockable steel box with a keypad and an emergency override key, carrying no fire, burglary or cash certification of any kind. Yale's 'Value' and 'Standard Security' labels are marketing tiers, not tested classifications. It does ship with wall and floor fixings, and at 3.6kg those fixings are the entire security proposition — unbolted, this is a container a thief carries out under one arm and opens later.
£52.76 including VAT, verified live and in stock at brass-works.co.uk on 24 July 2026 (reduced from £63.31), with Rapid Online at £51.67 excluding VAT, about £62 with it. PriceSpy showed a best UK price of £39.98, and Yale sells the near-identical previous-generation DB1 at £40 — so the real band is roughly £40–£62, and Amazon usually sits near the bottom of it.
