Disklok Faraday Pouch review

Disklok Faraday Car Key Pouch (Small)

By Tom Calder

Our verdict · Researched
4.5 / 5

If your car unlocks when the key is near it, this is the first thing to buy. The Crime Survey estimates that 58% of vehicle thefts in the year to March 2024 involved a thief manipulating the key's signal, and a sealed pouch defeats that. What Car? tested eight and every one blocked the key, but the Disklok was its best overall, still blocking after two wear cycles in a tumble dryer. Put the key in the white-lined pocket, test it once at the car, and retest every few months, as police.uk advises.

What we like

  • What Car?'s best of eight pouches
  • Secured by Design listed
  • Still blocked after wear testing

Worth knowing

  • Only the white-lined pocket blocks
  • Stops relay theft, nothing else
  • The key has to live in it at home

ⓘ As an Amazon Associate, PreparedBritain earns from qualifying purchases. We may earn a commission when you buy, or a fee when you request a quote, through our links — it never affects what we recommend. Amazon prices come from Amazon's own product data and show the date and time they were retrieved. Prices at other retailers are checked by us, less often. Prices and stock can change at any time, so always check the retailer's price before you buy.

Who shouldn't buy this

Don't buy it if your car needs the key in the ignition to open and start: there's no keyless signal to block, so a visible steering lock is the better spend.

How this review works

This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the UK price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.
