Fox EOS 1-Man Bivvy review
By Tom Calder
We no longer recommend this model, so it no longer appears in our buying guides. In its place, we now recommend Fox EOS MK2 1-Person Bivvy in our Fishing & foraging kit guide.
Key specs
The maker's figures.
- Type
- Carp bivvy (pram-hood shelter)
- Key detail
- 8,000mm HH fabric, fits a bedchair, ~7kg
For planned overnight and multi-day sessions on waters that permit them, a bivvy is what turns a long night into a comfortable one, and Fox's EOS is the mainstream, do-everything answer at well under flagship money: 8,000mm waterproofing, room for a bedchair, pram-hood design that pitches fast once you've done it twice. Be clear on what it's for — a permitted fishing session, not wild camping (pitching without the fishery's or landowner's permission is trespass) and not an emergency shelter.
- Best for
- The proper session shelter — from one of the brands that defined the carp bivvy.

What we like
- 8,000mm hydrostatic head shrugs off a genuinely wet night
- Takes a standard bedchair with room to move
- Fox build quality without Retreat/Evo flagship pricing
Worth knowing
- Widely sold below RRP — shop around
- For permitted sessions only; check whether the groundsheet is included in the listing

This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the UK price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.
