Kildwick MiniLoo review
Kildwick MiniLoo Composting Toilet
By Tom Calder
We no longer recommend this model, so it no longer appears in our buying guides. In its place, we now recommend Kildwick PiccoLoo Composting Toilet in our Emergency toilets guide.
Key specs
The maker's figures.
- Type
- Separating (composting) toilet
- Capacity
- —
Kildwick's MiniLoo does what the Trelinos do — urine separation, zero water, zero chemicals — in a ready-assembled birch-ply unit that looks like a piece of furniture rather than moulded plastic. It's the pick where the toilet will be visible and permanent: a garden room, cabin or narrowboat. Wood needs slightly more care than plastic (keep it sealed, wipe don't soak), and the capacities suit one-to-two people; a full-time family wants the Evo L above.
- Best for
- The crafted alternative — a separating toilet that looks like furniture, from a UK-rooted maker.

This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the UK price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.
