MeacoDry Arete One 12L review
MeacoDry Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier
By Tom Calder
The right default for a normal, heated British house: quiet at 35–38 dB(A), the largest tank of the 12L-class units here, and a five-year warranty that is the longest in this group. Meaco is also the only brand on this page to publish its full extraction matrix rather than one flattering number — 12.18 L/day at 30°C/80% falling to 1.95 L/day at 10°C/60% — which tells you exactly where its limits are.
- Best for
- Everyday condensation and damp in a heated home.
- Skip it if
- The room is an unheated garage, conservatory or caravan

What we like
- Publishes the full extraction matrix, not just the 30°C/80% headline
- 35–38 dB(A) — liveable on a landing or in a home office
- Five-year warranty, the longest here
Worth knowing
- Rated only to 5°C, and Meaco's own data shows 1.95 L/day at 10°C/60%
- The filter is HEPA-type; Meaco publishes no filter grade or test standard
- RRP sits above the EcoAir and Pro Breeze compressor units

Who shouldn't buy this
Don't buy it if the room is an unheated garage, conservatory or caravan — the desiccant EcoAir DD1 Simple MK3 is rated to 1°C and holds its output in the cold.
