EcoAir DD1 Simple MK3 Desiccant Dehumidifier review
The best-value way to dry a cold garage, conservatory or caravan.
By Tom Calder · Updated 24 July 2026 · Price checked against our tracker
The same cold-space capability as the Meaco DD8L Pro — desiccant, rated to 1°C, three-year warranty — for meaningfully less money, and it quotes 7.5 L/day at an explicitly stated 20°C/60% so the figure means something. The trade-off is in the name: 'Simple' is the rotary-dial version, with no electronic controls or display. If you want the machine to sit in a cold space and just run, that is a fair swap.
£199.98 direct from EcoAir on 24 July 2026, but this one is commonly found cheaper — independent UK retailers listed the same MK3 at roughly £149–£190 the same day. Colour variants are separate listings with their own prices, so check which one you're adding to the basket.

- Rated to 1°C — works where the compressor units aren't rated to
- 7.5 L/day at an explicitly stated 20°C/60%, so it's genuinely comparable
- 34 dB(A) on its energy-saving setting, and a three-year warranty
- Rotary-dial control only — no electronic controls or display
- 47 dB(A) on turbo, so the fast setting is a noisy one
- The silver-treated filter is marketed as antibacterial, but EcoAir publishes no test standard
