Households wanting a genuinely reliable, quiet petrol generator for occasional blackout backup, caravanning or running sensitive electronics.

The EU22i is about as good as a small portable generator gets: quiet, well built and its inverter output is clean enough for laptops, routers and medical kit. It is a premium price for occasional use, but for a resilience buy that has to start first time after months in the shed, few things match Honda's reliability.
UK specialist retailers as of Jul 2026 (approximate): cheapest around £1,055 (R-Tech, Kelvin Power Tools ~£1,140), rising to ~£1,350–£1,430 at B&Q and lawnmower dealers; Honda UK RRP ~£1,050+. A typical street price of ~£1,100 is realistic.
