Levoit Core 300S review
Levoit Core 300S Smart True HEPA Air Purifier
By Tom Calder
The most affordable proper HEPA purifier on this list, and quiet enough at 22 dB to run overnight. Its official room-size claims vary depending on which Levoit page you read, so size it to the lower, twice-an-hour figure for a room that actually needs clearing quickly.
- Best for
- A small-to-medium bedroom or home office on a budget
- Skip it if
- You need to cover a large open-plan room

What we like
- Cheapest True HEPA option here
- 22 dB Sleep Mode genuinely quiet for a bedroom
- Interchangeable filter variants for pet allergy, toxins or mould
Worth knowing
- Levoit's own room-size figures for once- vs twice-hourly air changes aren't identical to Amazon's listed figure, so check which you're relying on
- Maximum-speed noise level isn't published, so you can't compare it directly to rivals at full power

Who shouldn't buy this
Don't buy it if you need to cover a large open-plan room — step up to the Core 400S or a higher-CADR model instead.

This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the UK price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.
If this isn’t the one
Best for A large living room or open-plan space where filtering speed and a quiet night setting both matter.
