A dependable, sensibly-sized 1kWh unit with long-life LFP cells and unusually fast mains recharging, which makes it well suited to short-notice outages. It is one of the safest default choices in this class, provided you match its capacity to what you actually need to run.

What we like
- Long-life LFP battery (3,000+ cycles) backed by a 5-year warranty, so it should outlast cheaper lithium rivals
- Recharges from flat to 80% in around 50 minutes on a standard UK socket, useful before a forecast storm
- 1,800W output (2,400W via X-Boost) covers most household essentials, and capacity expands to 2,048Wh with an add-on battery
Worth knowing
- At ~12kg it is a two-hands lift rather than something you'll carry far
- The cooling fan is audible under heavy load, and 1,024Wh won't run high-draw items like a kettle or electric heater for long
