BRITA mypure P1 3-Way Tap review

Households who want filtered water from a dedicated tap spout, without a full reverse-osmosis install, in mixed to moderately hard water areas.

Our verdict
3.7 / 5

A neat way to get filtered water on demand without replacing your main tap, and it wastes no water in use — but it's a premium price for activated carbon and ion-exchange filtration, and BRITA's own guidance suggests hard-water homes will be changing the cartridge closer to every 3-4 months than the headline 12.

Check price at Amazon

As an Amazon Associate, PreparedBritain earns from qualifying purchases. We may earn a commission when you buy, or a fee when you request a quote, through our links — it never affects what we recommend. Amazon prices come from Amazon's own product data and show the date and time they were retrieved. Prices at other retailers are checked by us, less often. Prices and stock can change at any time, so always check the retailer's price before you buy.

What we like
  • Fits alongside your existing tap — no need to swap your main mixer
  • Reduces chlorine taste/odour, limescale, and trace lead/copper
  • No wastewater produced, unlike reverse-osmosis systems
Worth knowing
  • Higher upfront cost than jug or fridge filters for broadly similar carbon filtration
  • Real-world cartridge life in hard-water areas runs well short of the 12-month claim, so factor in replacement cost

Who shouldn't buy this

Skip this if you're in a very hard water area and want to minimise ongoing cartridge spend, or if you'd rather avoid a second tap hole and professional install — a jug or fridge filter is a cheaper first step, and a plumbed RO system suits those wanting the broadest contaminant reduction.
