NOCO Boost X GBX75: 2500A UltraSafe Jump Starter Power Pack – For 8.5L Petrol and 6.5L Diesel Engines review
Households with a bigger petrol car, 4x4, van or light diesel, who want one unit that both starts the car and doubles as a genuinely useful USB-C power bank.

NOCO states honest engine-size coverage (8.5L petrol / 6.5L diesel) rather than just a peak-amp headline, and it backs that up with reverse-polarity protection and spark-proof clamps that make it hard to use unsafely. It's a premium price, but the extra size and 60W USB-C charging justify it for larger vehicles. Like all lithium packs, keep it indoors rather than in a hot car boot over summer — heat shortens the cell's life.

- Stated engine coverage (8.5L petrol/6.5L diesel), not just an inflated amp number
- 60W USB-C Power Delivery doubles as a genuine phone/laptop charger
- Reverse-polarity protection and spark-proof clamps reduce the risk of user error
- Expensive next to smaller jump starters covering typical hatchbacks
- IP65 only applies with the ports closed — it isn't fully waterproof
Who shouldn't buy this
You only ever drive a small petrol hatchback or supermini — a smaller, cheaper NOCO Boost model (e.g. GBX55) will jump it fine without paying for capacity you won't use.
