Russell Hobbs RHDH2002 20 Litre/Day Dehumidifier review

Drying out a larger or wetter heated space, or a room after a leak.

By Tom Calder · Updated 24 July 2026 · Price checked against our tracker

Our verdict
3.9 / 5

The most capacity per pound here: 20 L/day at the industry-standard 30°C/80% condition, into the largest tank in the group, for well under what the desiccant units cost. Two honest caveats. At 47.5 dB it is the loudest unit on this page, and its own manual says not to place it where the temperature will fall below 5°C — so it is not the big garage machine its capacity implies. The defrost function protects its coils; it does not make it a cold-room unit.

No single authoritative live price on 24 July 2026 — UK retailers spanned roughly £155–£190, with one confirmed at £155 reduced from £189. Budget around £160 and shop around. The black version (RHDH2002B) is a separate SKU with its own pricing.

What we like
  • 20 L/day — the highest capacity here and the cheapest per litre
  • 3L tank, the largest in this group, so fewer trips to empty it
  • Around £155–£190, comfortably under the desiccant units
Worth knowing
  • 47.5 dB — the loudest here; fine in a utility room, wrong for a bedroom
  • The manual says don't place it where temperature falls below 5°C
  • Russell Hobbs doesn't publish the test condition or refrigerant on its own pages, so the 30°C/80% figure is attributed to the industry standard rather than the maker
