Report a cut in London: call 105

London is on UK Power Networks's network (London). Dial 105 free from any phone to report a power cut or get an update, or use UK Power Networks's live power cut map. It's the network, not your energy supplier, that fixes cuts.

If someone at home relies on electricity for medical equipment, or would struggle in a cut, the free Priority Services Register gets you extra help and updates from UK Power Networks.

If your power goes off

Check whether it's just you: look at your fuse box for a tripped switch, and whether neighbours or street lights are off.
Check the list above, then call 105 if your postcode isn't on it.
Keep the fridge and freezer shut. What's safe to eat after a power cut.
Switch off sensitive electronics and anything that could be left on, and leave one light switched on so you know when power's back. Can a power cut damage appliances?
If the cut runs long, the network may owe you compensation. Work out what you're owed.
