Osmio Zero 2.0 Countertop Water Filter & Kettle review
Renters and anyone who wants RO-grade drinking water and a kettle in one unit, without plumbing into worktops or pipework.
By Tom Calder · Price last checked 20 September 2026 · price indicative
The Zero 2.0 is a countertop reverse-osmosis system standing in for both an under-sink filter and a kettle — genuinely useful if you can't drill into pipework, at a price that reflects the convenience rather than the filtration itself.

- No plumbing or installation — fill the tank and plug in, so it moves with you if you rent
- Dispenses at four temperatures (ambient to near-boiling), replacing a kettle as well as a filter jug
- Remineralises after the RO stage (10-20ppm added) — enough to soften RO's flat taste, but not a restoration of typical UK mineral levels
- High upfront cost plus ongoing quick-change filter costs roughly every 4-6 months depending on water hardness
- Manual tank refills and RO's inherent water waste (roughly 1 litre discarded for every 5 litres produced, estimates vary by source) — more hands-on than a plumbed system
Who shouldn't buy this
You want a permanent, out-of-sight system feeding a dedicated tap under the sink, or you only need basic chlorine/scale reduction — a jug or tap filter does that for a fraction of the price.
