BLUETTI FridgePower review
BLUETTI FridgePower Fridge Battery Backup (2,016Wh)
By Tom Calder
A flat, 78mm battery made to sit on or beside a fridge, or hang on a wall: the fridge plugs into it, it plugs into the wall, and when the power goes it switches to its 2,016Wh battery in 10ms or less, with no electrician needed. BLUETTI's lab figure is about 21.6 hours for a fridge using 2kWh a day, and up to three BlueCell 200 batteries extend that. It has no USB or 12V outputs and it's for indoor use only. Check one thing before ordering: the UK listing's product code says EU, and the listing doesn't confirm UK sockets.

Our review
A 78mm-thick battery that lies flat on top of the fridge or hangs on a wall: the fridge's lead goes into it and its own lead into the wall socket. What matters most is how little attention it needs; BLUETTI quotes a 4W idle draw and a switchover of 10ms or less. It suits a household whose power-cut worry is the freezer contents rather than the whole house.
What the numbers mean
2,016Wh is just over two units of electricity; by the site's planning method (90% depth of discharge, 85% inverter efficiency, 10W for the unit's own electronics) about 1,540Wh reaches the appliance. 1,800W continuous covers any fridge or freezer many times over, 3,600W of surge covers a compressor start, and with the mains on it passes grid power through at up to 2,300W. BLUETTI's UK page rates the lithium iron phosphate cells at 4,000 cycles to 80%. It weighs 19.7kg and measures 580 by 350 by 78mm.
In a UK power cut
Run through our runtime method over the appliance-draw dataset, a fridge-freezer averaging 12 to 51W lasts 25 to 70 hours, a chest freezer 35 to 50 hours, and the two together 16 to 36 hours. BLUETTI's laboratory figure is 21.6 hours with a fridge that consumes 2kWh over a day. There are two mains outlets and no USB, so anything else shares those sockets: a router alone would run 2 to 3 days and a CPAP 2 to 4 days. Fridge-freezer, router, four LED bulbs and a charging phone together give 9 to 28 hours. Power Lifting mode accepts resistive loads of 1,800 to 3,000W, so a kettle boils, but slowly, because the manual says output stays at 1,800W. The manual also says to leave ECO mode off for lights and refrigerators, because it cuts the output after one to four hours of low load. See will a power station run a fridge freezer.
How it compares
The BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 holds 2,073.6Wh, gives 2,600W, adds USB-C, USB-A and a 12V socket and is rated for 6,000+ cycles, but it is a 24.2kg box with a 15ms switchover. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max has 2,048Wh, 2,400W, nine ports and the same 10ms switchover at 20.3kg. Neither mounts on a wall. More on BLUETTI power stations and home backup power.
Living with it
BLUETTI's UK spec table gives 80% from the mains in 55 minutes and a full charge in about 1.6 hours. The manual lists Standard (1,000W), Silent (600W, about 30dB) and Turbo modes, with Turbo up to 1,800W on UK units, though the UK page caps mains input at 1,440W; mains and solar together top out at 2,200W. A full charge costs about 53p at the Ofgem price cap rate of 26.32p per kWh for October to December 2026, before losses. Solar input is 1,000W at 12 to 60V. Allow 50 to 100mm of clearance for airflow wherever it sits. Up to three BlueCell 200 packs take it to 8,064Wh. The UK page states a five-year warranty, though the FridgePower was not yet on BLUETTI UK's warranty table on 21 October 2026. Returns are accepted within 30 days if unused and boxed.
Safety
It is IP20, for indoors only, and the manual says not to use it in rain or high humidity. Charge from 0°C to 40°C, discharge from -20°C to 40°C, store at 40 to 60% charge between -10°C and 35°C, and give it a full cycle every three months. The manual names a dry powder extinguisher, says the UPS is not for data servers or workstations, and says never to connect its output to the grid. See our lithium battery fire safety guide and power cut food safety.
Our verdict
Buy it if the fridge-freezer is the thing you want covered, you have no floor space for a box, and you like a backup you can forget. Skip it if you also want the router, phones and a lamp running: an Elite 200 V2 or DELTA 3 Max does that from one unit with proper USB ports. See our sizing guide.

Who shouldn't buy this
Don't buy it if you also want to run a router, phones and lights: an Elite 200 V2 holds about the same energy, with USB and 12V outputs, for less.

Questions
Can the BLUETTI FridgePower run a fridge-freezer?
Yes, that is its purpose. By the site's runtime method a fridge-freezer averaging 12 to 51W runs 25 to 70 hours on the 2,016Wh battery, and the 3,600W surge covers the compressor start.
How long does the FridgePower take to charge?
BLUETTI's UK spec table says 80% in 55 minutes and a full charge in about 1.6 hours from the mains. Silent mode, at 600W, is slower but quieter.
Does the FridgePower have USB ports?
No. It has two mains outlets, a mains input and a solar input, so phones and a router plug in through their own mains adapters.
How loud is the BLUETTI FridgePower?
BLUETTI's manual gives 50dB at most, falling to about 30dB in Silent charging mode.
